Module failed to load with status -19 ESX 3.0.2

I did an upgrade on a ESX 3.0.1 and now the NICS are failing to initalize.

I get the error listed above for NC7160 NICS on a DL585, they ran fine before the upgrade and NOTHING has been changed physically to the server.

On boot I see the error for vmkload_mod bad parameter

any ideas to either help provide more information to the group to help or an idea as to what it might be?

Looking at the HCL those NIC's do not appear to be on it. Maybe they changed something 3.0.2 to cause them to no longer work if they did work in 3.0.1

sorry, it turns out my NICS are NC7170 and they are on the list.

I just did a fresh install to make sure that anything I have been doing did not break it, still no joy. I am going to reseat the hardware and see what happens. I cannot even see the NICS in CIM

You might also try upgrading the BIOS on the server and the NIC's...

there is a silly answer,

due to a miscommunication between people the NIC were disabled in the BIOS, after turning them back on everything works fine.
