Migrate?!.

morning All,

i have an error messege when i do the migration:

"Unable to migrate: VMotion from source host to destination host is unsupported because of VMotion protocol differences".

so any idea on that.

Host requirements for Vmotion:

Source and destination ESX servers must have

1) Visibility to all SAN LUNs and NAS devices used by VM.

2) A Gigabit Ethernet backplane

3) Access to same physical networks.

4) labelled virtual switch port groups.

5)Compatible CPUs

What is your ESX version???

If you try vmotion within ESX versions only this is supported:

ESX 2.5.3 --> ESX 3.0.1 using VirtualCenter 2.0.1
