Hi,

yes I know this manual, but if I could write to Oracle and MS-SQL it might be possible to write to MySQL too.

Is there a number of VM`s and users until the MSDE will not work any more ?

Because MSDE DB size is up to 2 GB per DB as far as i know.

SQL 2005 Express will take the DB size limite from 2GB to 4GB...but you still need more. SQL I am afraid is the best option. SQL 2005 Express could be an option for the froogle if you truncated perf data all the time?
