IBM xSeries 346 _PCPU 3 didn't have heartbeat for 62 s. *may* be locked up

The server i am currently working on is an IBM xSeries 346. I previously had 3.0.2 installed on this machine and i recently tried upgrading to 3.5.

After the server boots, this is displayed in red font:

0:00:02::00.403 cpu2:1026)Heartbeat: 470: PCPU 3 didn't have a heardbeat for 62 seconds. may be locked up

0:00:02:00.403 cpu3: 1036)NMI : 1625: Faulting eip :esp

I used the UpgradeXpress CD to upgrade the BIOS and BMC hoping it would fix the problem but it did NOT.

Any ideas?

The 345 had a mobo warranty recall quite some time ago for CPU VR issues so don't rule out a mobo problem on the 345.

The 346 did have some factory CPU mismatch issues so I would go down that path first on it.

Hello,

Have you checked back farther in time to see if it was present before the upgrade.

I have encountered related errors on the 346/345 which where actually mismached CPU's from the factory.

Or you could have a mobo problem.

This was not present before the upgrade. And I am having this problem with both a 345 and a 346 as well.
