IBM x3950 & ESX 3.0, VC 2.0

Guys,

One of blueprints which I am currently using are a series of x3950's IBM Servers, for ESX Version 3.0

Has anyone experienced any hardware bugs, compatiability or general problems with this model server specifically?

If so, can you detail what?

According to the HCL x3950's are fine, however a collegue of mine identified bug issues with the NIC's that come with the 3950.

Any ideas?

My previous job was in a IBM 460/3950 VMware environment. We had a 5 node cluster with one of the Nodes being extended with 6 to 8 NICs per host. I did nor encounter any problems with any of the NICs

Same here no problems - the servers just took an age to boot ;(
