How to emulate a BNX2 inerface for a Virtual machine

Hello

I can not manage to emulate a bnx2 interface in a WM

I found the same issue for an another type of card and the solution was to use in the vmx file the line

"ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000"

replacing e1000 by bnx2 is not working Smiley Sad ...

did someone knows how I can resolve my problem ?

Thanks in advance !

You can not emulate a BNX2 interface - the only one you can emulate is Intell e1000 -

As Dave states the only NIC that can be emulated is the e1000

the Virtual Hardware versions are different between VMware products, VI3 utilizes a lower version than workstation.
