I have a HP-Compaq StorageWorks Single Channel PCI-E 8GB Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter (part number AK344 - replacement part 466515-001) that I have installed in a HP Proliant DL380 G5 that is running ESX 3.0.2. The card initially had some IRQ coflict issues with the P400 controller on it, and the BIOS was turned off by default on the card (not sure why they did that).
The system now recognizes the card during POST. However, the adapter is not showing up in the Storage Adapters in the VMware console. Does anybody know if this card is supported under 3.0.2? If not, upgrading to 3.5 / Update 4 is an option for us (and needs to be done eventually). If it does work under 3.0.2, am I missing on a software setting or perhaps a needed driver?
