Error Licensing ESX Host

I am trying to license my ESX host by connecting to a licensing server through the firewall. We have opened port 27000 on the firewall but we are still unable to connect to the licsense server.

Any ideas??

What problems are you having?

Can you ping the ESX servers from the license server? (I understand that if firewall between them is blocking ICMP this won't be an option; if the firewall is not blocking ICMP then it is a good test)

Is the license server also a VirtualCenter server?

The license server will not be able to ping the ESX box as I have not set up a NAT for the ESX box. Would I need to have a NAT set up?
