Editing the size of the HDD at an existing virtual server

Hello

I had set up a virtual server but i edited the setting and especially the HDD (from 100 GB i made it to 150 GB). After that i didnt let me reboot cause of small size reasons.

My question is after i have done this change i cannot change it back?

I have to reinstall all the programs back?

thx

You need some additional space for the swap file (size of VM's memory) and for log files.

Hi Kouliscon,

You can't reduce the size of a vmdk, only extend it. How did you resize it?

Sorry

i edited the virtual server and at the HDD i changed the size of the HDD from 100 to 150... but because i have 2 virtual servers in a total of 200 gb HDD and the other is using 40 GB, there were only 7 GB left and the virtual server which i have changed the size couldnt start. Does anybody know how much size is needed for the visrtual server to start?

thx
