ESX cannot detect LSI 1068 RAID controller

Hi.

I need to install ESX version 3.02, the one available for evaluation. We use an Intel board S5000PAL with LSI RAID controller (1068 or 1064e)

I tried using the: "Driver CD for megaraid_sas version 3.0.9

This is an ESX Server 3.0.1 Driver CD that enables support for LSI 1078 controller with version 3.0.9 of the megaraid_sas driver.

Driver CD for megaraid_sas version 3.0.9 for ESX 3.0.1" available on:

http://www.vmware.com/download/vi/drivers_tools.html

with no success, the drivers would not load.

Any insights?

login to the esx console and try "lspci".

what does it tell?

Do you have the RAID activation key and the RAID memory?
