Typically the answer is "yes you can" but i wanted to see if i could find out for sure whether or not i can upgrade from 3.5 update 1 which i have installed now, directly to 3.5 update 4 usingthe below image. I was browsing and searching the forums and the only real related post i found was about someone who attempted going from 3.5U2 to 3.5U4 and related or not, ended up with a corrupted GRUB BL.
thanks in advance

The best solution is always a reinstallation.
But I've tried successfully also the Upgrade Package (http://www.vmware.com/download/vi/drivers_tools.html) to upgrade online from ESX 3.0.x to ESX 3.5/U1/U2/U3.
