i setup vmware esxi on an intel box and it was all up and running fine for about a week, one guest OS is running win2k3 (standard 32bit) for IIS and it hosts a few ASP.NET 2.0 sites, and the 2nd guest OS runs win2k3 (also std 32bit) with sql server 2k5 std. my IIS only box works fine and never has issues but at random, my sql box's nic stops working, its there, if i run ipconfig it gives me the correct info and all looks well except i cant ping it and i cant ping anything outside or inside my network from that system. i reboot the server and it works fine. its happened twice so i'm kind of concerned now.
