ESX 3.0.1 Imaging Guest Options

Hello,

I have been trying to image a guest OS (Windows Server 2003) but I can't seem to get it to work unless it's just not supported. I tried connecting an external USB hard drive to the ESX server but it doesn't look like ESX supports USB hard drives. When I plug it in I get an error USB device not accepting new address... I tried booting the guest using Novell's ZENworks but can't seem to get it to connect to the imaging server. I also tried to boot using an Acronis boot CD which I am able to do but when I try to set the path to a shared folder on another PC, it keeps asking for the credentials. Anyone have any idease of going about this a better way. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

Harry

Try using drivesnapshot or similar ones within the runnning vm to a network share.

This should be easy and without trouble...
