Data Merge into new Virtual Center Database

Hi,

Before I opened an SR for this, I thought I would throw it out here. Does anyone know if there is any way to take data from an old Virtual Center installation (2.0.1), and import it into the new VC database (2.0.2). I would like to get the history of all of the VM's/hosts running in my environment without having separate databases. If anyone has any information on it, please let me know. Thanks.

Hey Mike,

You can install VC 2.0.2 on top of your 2.0.1 installation (choose to upgrade your current installation).

That way you will save your current history...

Well, there was a big issue with my database and I couldn't do the standard "upgrade". That is why I am looking for a way to import the history into the new database.

What's the issue with your DB?

An inplace upgrade is the way to go as fields and stuff might have changed in 2.0.2.
