Is it possible to upgrade to a second CPU after installation ?
We have to install ESX 3.5 to a singe CPU Xeon server. But we plan to add a second CPU in a couple of weeks.
Is that possible ?
It is possible and you don't have to re-install or change any configuration settings. You'll just want to ensure that you have sufficient licensing in place before you shut down the host to add the processor.

I am pretty sure you can just install the 2nd CPU. ESX should pick up the 2nd CPU when it boots up, but you will need to add ESX license for 2nd CPU.
