Basic question about adding additional NIC to ESX host

This is such a basic question I'm almost embarrassed.

I need to add an additional NIC to an ESX host. Once I physically install the NIC, do I need to load any drivers or anything or will the host just notice it and it's that easy? I.E. - plug & play?

If it matters: HP DL380 G5 running ESX 3.5.0 82663. The new NIC is an HP NC360T PCIE.

Thanks!

as long as your NIC is on the HCL, which it is, you should just be able to power down ESX install the NIC and power it back on. You should see the new NIC listed under network adapters
