which course to take

hi guys,

I would like to start my Vmware career with the objective of certification. I see they are offering these course:

VMware Data Center Virtualization: Core Technical Skills

VMware vSphere Install, Configure, Manage [v8].

Question is: which one should I take or do I have to take both?

Core Technical Skills is the recommended training for VCTA-DCV: https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcta-dcv.html

Install, Configure, Manage is one of the required training options for VCP-DCV: https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcp-dcv.html

So, the best single answer to your question depends on which of those certifications you intend to achieve.

The  Designing, Configuring, and Managing the VMware Cloud is currently free for a limited time. The exam will still have a cost. But once you earn this VCP it will open more opportunities as a short cut to other VCP certifications. VMware Certified Professional - VMware Cloud 2023
