Hello,
Will the VMware vSphere: Troubleshooting [V8] – BETA course meet the requirement for VCP-DCV 2022? It seems to me that it should, since the V7 course is listed on the certification page, as well as V8 versions of several of the other V7 courses. But the V8 Troubleshooting course is not yet listed there. So I wanted to verify.
I think it should, best to check with certification@vmware.com
I did send the question to that email address. Here was the response from VMware Education Support specialist:
Please be informed that "VMware vSphere: Troubleshooting [V8] - BETA" is not yet released for VCP-DCV 2022, hence this course will not serve as a prerequisite towards VCP-DCV 2022 Certification path.
Interesting, their use of the word "yet". I have replied to the support specialist asking for clarification.
I would expect that the v8 training would become available when the exam is also updated to reflect changes to vSphere 8.x

But the training is available. The V8 vSphere: Troubleshooting course is on schedule to run in February (beta), and March. It's just not yet on the list of course options for VCP-DCV 2022, even though the other V8 courses are.
What I intended to say, is that it won't be added to the VCP required training options until the VCP exam also includes v8 updates. Also, we are in a web freeze until January so no updates will be posted until then
Thanks. I will.
