Hi everyone,
I'm new here but done some (great) reading on this forum to get a better understanding of what to expect from the VCP550 exam. My situation is the following:
As said, I did some reading here and came with the following strategy:
One question that I'm not clear on: it looks like VMware want to deprecate the vCenter client in favour of the web client. Are the questions in VCP550 would be client agnostic or would be more specific? I mostly used in my course and training web client but also familiar to some extent with the traditional client.
Would appreciate any feedback on my study strategy. Thanks for anyone who contributes to this forum.
VCP exams are very specific. Make sure you understand each topic well and that you know the differences between the web client and the traditional client. Know what the old client is still necessary for but also the differences as regards infrastructure management (a quick example: what tasks and events do you see with the web client connected to vCenter as opposed to what you see with the traditional client connected directly to a particular host).
As regards training resources, I recommend (in addition to what you already have) CBT Nuggets' excellent vSphere 5.5 video series (presented by Greg Shields) and Wiley's VCP550 complete study guide (by Brian Atkinson).
Good luck!
