Wish me luck

I have been studying for the VCP, I am probably way too worried about it but I have studied the blueprint, scotts tests (averaging over 95% on them, and the MOCH Exam) and I hope I am prepared.  I virtualized my environment in 2006, so I have been around the product for a long time.   I just am worried about all the max/mins configs as that is not really important to my job.  Plus my memory is horrible.

Wish me luck!

Well it looks like I will be using the free re-take.  Where to focus now?  I hate tests.

Ah, that's too bad, sorry to hear you didn't make it on the first try.  I passed the VCP back in June of 2010, I wrote a blog post about it, check it out if you haven't already... also, read Mastering VMware vSphere 4 by Scott Lowe... cover to cover.  Let me know if I can help further.

Here's my blog post:   http://wp.me/pYfrf-h

Mark as helpful if it helps.

You have see some real question examples now.

You can focus on them.

And of course use the blueprint as a study reference (search for vcp4 blueprint study notes and you fill find a lot of useful docs).

I think a challenge for you is to switch off that "real world" part of your brain and enter "exam world"! You now have a very good understanding of the level of detail and breadth of knowledge you need to have to pass the VCP exam. You will already appreciate the importance of the exam blueprint I'm sure!

The "VCP Study" page on my blog contains all the key resources I would recommend, and there's plenty of other VCP-related posts on there too:

Scott- you are 100% correct.  I have reviewed all the material listed above, I think I just need to focus and get in test taking mode.  I did also just order mastering vphere by scott lowe, so I am going to read that from front to back.  Thank you all for the guidance.
