Waiting times for confirmation of certification?

Hi all,

Sat the VCP5 exam in December 2012 and the course in first week of Januray this year.  I've not heard anything after a month is this normal, do I need to do anything in particlar because I sat the exam before the course?

Thanks

Yes, in case you sit the exam prior to attending the course, you need to contact the Certification team. See Q2 at http://vmwaretraining.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/vcp-common-questions.html

Congratulations

André

Hi,

I've dropped two emails to the eduoperations email address with no response, is the norm for vmware?  I've seen similar posts regarding long confirmation times.

Thanks

Wait some days before resend the email.

And when you resend it, quote the previous email.

There is no value in sending repeat emails - each email causes a separate case to be opened with the team which they then have to manually match against previous cases raised by the same person - this just causes them extra administrative work and actually delays them from being able to assist you.

I only had an automated response with case number to my first email, all subsequent emails referenced this case number in the subject.  I have no issue with being patient but would like to know it is being dealt with and they have all the inofrmation needed to process.

Including the case number in the subject makes their life a little easier, but they will still have to merge each case created by each email you send as per my previous comment.

If you send me your case number by private message I'll see if I can check anything internally for you.
