Dear everyone,
I'm a little confused here so I need help to clarify which exam I should take and what is the material in this exam. I have taken the course VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage [V5.1] and when I tried to register for the exam it gave me the exam "VCPD510: VMware Certified Professional-Desktop" and when I tried to find some materials to study I found two different materials, one that has to do with VCP5-DT which is all about VMware View: Install, Configure, Manage [V5.x] and the other which is VCP-510. So which one should I be studying.
Please help.
Hi mariusme,
The exam you should take Is VCP5-DCV. VCPD510 is for desktop which is entirely different. Please go to vmware certification page and select VCP5-DCV(vmware certified professional in datacenter virtualization) and you will find the blueprint there. You can follow it and since you have attended the required course you will be eligible to take up the certification. And also register for VCP-DCV on Vmware portal before you book the exam on PearsonVUE.

Here's the link for the correct certification you have to take. You can also take the practice exam which is also there in the same page.
