Both the beta exams
VCP6-DCV Beta and VCP6-DCV Delta beta have ended toady!
no time frame, however it usually takes about 2-3 months for the final exam to be released. The point of the beta exam it so that VMware can get an idea on what to score each of the questions. IE everyone gets the same questions and if most people get a question correct the will not have a strong weight/score and if most of the people get it wrong then it WILL have a stronger weight. This will be used to generate what questions people will get when people take the final exam, and will be used to score each question on a bell curve.
The final exam will be available over the summer, before VMworld.
Here's why there are beta exams: Certification Program Beta Exams
I just took the VCP6-DCV Delta Beta Exam yesterday, on the last possible day. I originally planned to do it last week but had to reschedule because of another important appointment.
Good luck to everyone who took one of the beta exams.
I really hope they will finish scoring this beta exam faster than the updated VCP511 beta exam I took in early November 2013. For that I had to wait until mid-March 2014 for the results.
Fun fact anecdote from that time:
They first mailed a score report with a passing score, but an overall "Exam Failed" verdict to me (everyone?). 20 minutes later, they sent a corrected score report.
Not yet - this is taken from the link I posted above:
Candidates who take the beta test will receive their results based upon the questions that are selected for the final form. This generally takes 8-10 weeks after the beta concludes.
