Hi,
I've done some research on the topic but sadly I've not been able to find a definitive answer.
If I take the VCP6.5-NV exam whilst using my existing Cisco certification am I then eligible to take the VCP6.5-DCV exam without having to take the mandatory weekly course?
At this point the course is a blocker for me.
Thanks,
C
It depends on which Cisco certification you have, but yes.
You'd need to take a total of 3 exams - vSphere Foundations, the NV exam, then a DCV exam.
To confirm:
1. Choose the "Cisco certification" path here: VMware Certified Professional 6 – Network Virtualization (VCP6-NV)
2. Choose the "active VCP6 or 6.5 or 7 in a different track" path here: VMware Certified Professional 6.5 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP6.5-DCV)

I currently hold a CCNA I've not finished my CCNP as of yet but a CCNA cert appears to be the minimum required.
It looks like my theoretic path will be ok, thank you for your help.
Thanks,
