I still not yet taken the VCP5 exam like i had planned last year, so with the release of VCP6 exam, what is the best way to go about for what i have now ?
so my VCP4 exam would be expired in 22 days, so does this means once expired and since i dont have VCP5 yet, i have to take the vsphere 5.5 to 6 class then take the VCP6 exam ?
Thanks
You can go directly to VCP 5.5 or 6, but since you have only 22 days before your VCP 4 expire, I will suggest you decide more fast possible.
Take a look here for Requirements/Migration path to VCP 6: VCP6-DCV Certification
With only 22 days to go, and the exams for vSphere 6 only in a limited beta at the moment, I would recommend looking at either the VCP510 or VCP550 exams for the VCP5-DCV.
If you do not pass one of those in the next 3 weeks, your VCP4-DCV will have expired and you will need to take training in order to step back into VMware certification.
Have a look here: (VCP5-DCV) VCP-Data Center Virtualization
VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1, whereas VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5.
so what if i already took the 5.1/5.5 Whats New class, in case my 4.x cert expired and gone ...do i need to re take the full 5.x class again ?? in that case i might as well do the full v6

The What's New class is valid as a requirements only if your old VCP is active/valid, if this is expired, you will need the "full" class.
You'd need to do the full class, the same as if you'd never held a certification.
That's part of why I suggested taking VCP510 or VCP550 to update to VCP5-DCV and recertify your VCP4-DCV - you could then take the 2V0-621D to also gain VCP6-DCV - no training required...
