VCP5 certification, Install & Configure vs Fasttrack

Both courses allow you to be able to take the VCP5 exam, but the fastrack is quite a bit more money. Can I save some money and do some self study combined with the Install course to be able to have enough knowledge to pass the exam. I have worked with VMware for about 4 years now, so I am pretty solid with real world experience when it comes to actually running a vmware enviroment.

I would be doing the class remotely.

Hi,

If you already have experience with VMware, may its a solution to save money, but check Blue Print to certify if you´ve all requeriments to take a VCP5.

Good Luck

Thanks, but I have never taken a VMware approved course though.

The Fast Track is the best preparation in terms of training - I posted this on my blog when it was released:

Doing the course online will make it cheaper in terms of travel/accomodation costs.

Whichever course you attend, additional exam preparation will be required - the VCP5 tab on my blog has some useful links for you:

Online classes are good are "real" classes... but as written by Scott they do not cost less... they can only save your travel costs.
