VCP5-DT Beta Exam Invitation

Hi Guys

I recently finished doing my VCP5 cert and was super excited to receive an email from VMware saying that I was invited to the VCP5-DT Beta Exam Invitation. I was always wondering how do people get these invites, now I know. My question to the forum is:

- Exam format is 225 questions and over 3 hours

I did not realize it would be all the questions in the exam and not the usual 80 or so. Does anyone know the pass mark?

Are VMware more generous in passing those people who take the Beta exam

- I have not done any prep on View and the exam deadline is on the 20th of Dec

Is it still worth trying to give the exam in so little time, since I have the opportunity. Also the exam is half price i have been told

- If I pass will this be counted as a real exam cert even if this is a beta exam or will I have to do the real exam again?

I am in 2 minds to go all ourt for the exam but 20th is too soon and like most VMware exams you need to really know your suff you cannot just chance it

Any other thoughts and views would be much appreciated from the form.

1     They are in the process of establish pass mark and questions during the beta

2     I wouldn't say they are more generous.  If you do well you pass and if you don't you fail.

3     I would do it but then again I feel comftorable with View.  If you feel good about then do it as it is half price. 

4     If you pass this it counts as a real exam.

ALL the questions. Basically VMware test the entire first set of questions on beta tester.

Is still 300, but this does not mean that beta exam is simplest.

You must study hard to pass.

This could be a problem. The VCP-DT require a good knowledge of View...

If you pass you get the certification

That helps me answer the questions. Tempting as it is I think I will not  pass this Beta exam as I will not have enough time to study.

Unfortunately I cannot take this beta exam. No seats are available in my country for the period
