VCP-DCV 2019 Upgrade to 2020

I'm assuming the 2020 exams/training is same material for 6.7 since the next numbered version hasn't been released yet.

If I already have the VCP-DCV 2019, will I still have to take the existing exam or the optional training to be upgraded to the 2020 VCP? :smileyconfused:

The certification path doesn't have a drop-down option for those that hold the VCP-DCV 2019.

You are correct that at this time the 2020 training/exams are the same as for 2019, all based on vSphere 6.7.

I would expect that to remain the same for as long as the software version doesn’t change.

So for the time being, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense for a VCP-DCV 2019 holder to do anything in relation to VCP-DV 2020.

The optional training is optional. You can just go ahead and book the 2020 exam whenever youre ready
