VCP 6 DCV Beta exam result ?

When we can expect the VCP 6 DCV Beta exam result.

I took mine on May 26th. Still showing as "Taken" on the Pearson Vue portal. It's 10pm in the UK.

Looks like another false promise from VMware.

Well the 28th has come and nearly gone, still no update on Pearson Vue.  Still nothing to take to my employer save an email from VMWare that says 'hey you passed but it won't be entered until 9/28 at the earliest'.

Seriously, this is just terrible.  First and last beta I ever take from VMWare.

I suppose I'm not the only one who hasn't received any notification. Even their certification helpdesk can't give me a straight answer.

However for myself status on Pearson site is still 'TAKEN' and no email...

I also don't think I wouldn't bother taking part in Beta in the future. It might be cheaper, but I prefer to know if I passed or not quicker than after 4 months...

Just checked my transcript for the last time tonight. Still nothing. I'm not too worried about it because I already got the preliminary results.

I wouldn't say that this will be my last beta exam. Luckily, I wasn't in the same boat as a lot of people who relied on this exam to renew their VCP expiration date. Sure, we had to wait 4 months to even get the preliminary results, but if I can save myself or my employer $175, then thats fine with me.

But for the future, VMware, please be careful with deadlines and date ranges. As you can see, people go crazy with it and if you are one minute late, all hell breaks loose. And if you do go over a deadline that you set, be open and honest with everyone. Make a blog post, send out an email, inform your support staff. We all have questions and would like the actual reason for the missed deadline. Not a bunch of fluff designed to shut us up.

Problem is it wasn't "one minute late" - there was first deadline: 8-10 weeks.

8 weeks passed - no information.

10 weeks - no information

Then second deadline was revealed (28/09), but it also passed and still no results.

In my case I still have plenty of time to recertify, but for others - it might be an issue.

it will be a ridicoulous situation ... seems that we can't get the results in 19 weeks ... about the double of the promise time ...

You wont get that.

They did the same thing during the VCP 4 beta exam.

Tests were completed by July. Results didn't come until October.
If we go by that timetable we wont get anything until December.

Just read through all of these. As you've all said it, this is ridiculous the amount of time it has taken. 4 months has made moving forward or in the other case resitting the exam hard. 

According to my preliminary results, I failed. Unfortunately, due to being in limbo mode and not knowing what was happening, i have spent the last 2 months on other certifications when I should have been studying up hard to resit.

Yep, I still don't know if I passed or failed. At this point I'm working on other certifications and avoiding VMware for a year.

I just got off the phone with VMware. The certification advocate told me the technical delay could postpone these results by another month or two. I was told however they would be extending the current expiration window by 2 months but that really doesn’t address the issue.

Who cares about scoring beta exams of some mere peasants who only paid discount prices in the first place, when VMware is busy revolutionizing the IT world as we know it?

We have an update on the Beta exam results:

Our vendor is working on these results and we expect to have them by the end of the week for the 2V0-621 exam. Transcripts will be updated once they work through our system. Once those results are processed, they will begin working on the 2V0-620 results.

From a yesterday night mail from VMware education:

"Hello Riccardo,

We apologize for the delay from the 28^th, we work through an exam vendor and we had to go through a couple of QA checks.

The results were approved last night and went out via mail today. You should have them shortly."

Maybe will the good day for all?
