Hi, I passed the VCP 510 today - so am really pleased. I was a VCP 3, so have "bunny hopped" VCP 4 before the March deadline (phew!).
I'm now going to set my sights on qualifying at VCAP level. Does anyone know when the VCAP 5 tests will be available?
Cheers guys,
Wodge
Congratulations - I assume you've also attended the vSphere 5: What's New course?
There are no release dates yet announced for either of the VCAP5 exams, I would advise you download the blueprints for the VCAP4 exams and start preparing using those.
Scott.

Hi Scott,
Many thanks for your reply. Yes, I did take the what's new course late last year. I didn't get that many questions on the new v5 features, so it was important for the exam to have understood and worked with v4 for some time as well.
The advice on the VCAP 4 is also appreciated, the next project it seems!

Congratulations -
Many thanks David!
Congrats for the pass.
Actually there is no official information on when VCAP5 will start.
But start studing ![]()
Is it possible to take the VCP5 exam prior taking the VCP5 What's new class as a VCP3 certified?
I would say yes since you are able to sit for the exam prior to taking the ICM class - But two things to keeep in mind
Yes you can take the course and pass the exam whichever way round you want to, but you must complete both elements before the end of February or you will have to take the Install Configure Manage or new Fast Track courses.
Hi,
I have started studying hard for the VCAP-DCA, and need to get qualified as soon as possible. As it's not possible to take the VCAP on vSphere 5, I am intending to take the existing exam.
Many Thanks
