Even if you pass the Exam , you will not get a VCP untill you have sat an accredited training course.

If this post has been useful , please consider awarding points. @chrisdearden http://jfvi.co.uk http://vsoup.net

Until you also attend one of the qualifying training courses, you will not be certified as a VCP, and you will not be able to register for VCAP exams until you are VCP certified. It's time to look at your training course options:

vSphere: Install Configure Manage

vSphere: Automation Fast Track

vSphere: Troubleshooting

All these courses qualify you for VCP certification, attend any one of them.

http://www.vmware.com/go/vcp is the best place for official information about VCP certification

http://vmwaretraining.blogspot.com is my blog, and has lots of VCP-related posts

Yes, the vSphere: Troubleshooting course qualifies for VCP. You should already have VCP-level skills and knowledge before you attend though as it's an advanced-level course.
