Hi,
With reference to the multiple choice questions on the VCP 4.1 exam, I've heard that a candidate needs to get all answers correct in order to get a mark for the question, otherwise no marks are given.
My understanding was that if even one correct answer is given to a multiple choice question with two or three answers, credit is still given.
Would be very grateful if anyone could elaborate on this.
The short answer is we don't know for sure.
I wouldn't worry about how the scoring works, as you don't know what the score of 300 actually represents anyway - focus on the objectives in the blueprint and answer as many questions correctly as you can.
Scott.
As written nobody (exept some VMware people) know the score and how points are calculated.
Many thanks for your response. Appreciate it.
Cheers, Yours Udin
I always think, prepare so that if you get two right and one wrong you don't get anything from it. I personally think they dont give you anything if you get one wrong

I prepare to get as many questions as correct as I possibly can - then I don't need to worry about how the exam is scored.
The only official preparation resources are really the blueprint and mock exam. The blueprint does not explain the scoring system in-depth, and the mock exam is scored as a percentage - but I think that's a limitation of the site/software used to host the mock exam.
Scott.
Appreciate the responses, thank you all.
