VCA5-DT ?

As VCP5-DT has been released, is there any indication that a VCA5-DT will be released too?

After completing my exam for VCP5 tomorrow.. (think positive ), I wanted to study for VCA4-DT or VCA5-DT, but it is looking as this certification will be aborted as the requirement for VCP5-DT has been abolished.

I don't think there's going to be a VCA5-DT - it would have arrived first before VCP5-DT.

Well, as I know a lot about View 4.5, so I could do VCA4-DT with a few night of study.

I would see it as an exam prep for a part of VCP5-DT , or as a way to keep growing my email signature

The VCA-DT and VCP-DT cover completely different topics; passing the VCA-DT in no way prepped me for VCP-DT. At all.

I felt both exams were rather poor in content.

Agree that there were two different type of exams (BTW I found VCA harder that VCP-DT...)

In the original plan the VCA was a requiment for VCP-DT... But now what's the purpose of VCA? For operators?

Seems that it's being dropped from future revs of View certification, so I guess the idea died along the way.

That is a real bummer.

I picked up my VCA4-DT because it was the only VMware certification I could actually afford.

I'm fortunate in that I'm finally going to be able to take ICM and take the VCP 5 exam.

How many VCA4-DTs were there? i was number 68.

I took it in August 2011 (so I could take the VCP4-DT) and was given #219.

You say that there are at least 219 VCA-DT?

If yest the number isn't low at all, so could be that the VCA will not suppressed, maybe is only delayed
