Can anybody comment on the VCA4-DT vs VCP4-DT? Now that it appears there is no requirement to take the VCA4-DT vs the VCP4-DT... since i'm already a VCP, should I only take the VCP4-DT?
The VCA is geared for entry level View Administration in my opinion.

They have different target: VCA is a "lower" level (does not mean that is simplest)... just for who use View but not necessay know vSphere.
Because VCA-DT is no more required for VCP-DT, IMHO I suggest to go directly to the last one.

Hello Andre the Giant !
Thanks for the valuable suggestion, i am just getting into VMware certification track and very much interested to get into VCP-DT directly rather than going through VDA route. the problem is, when i try to book test at pearson (for VCP-DT), it ask for VMware ID. i am not sure why it is asking if VCA is not the prerequiste any more. Please shed your light over it.
would you please also suggest any cram, test papers, dumps that could be handy to sit in exam ?
Regards
Adnan
Yeah... Andre isn't the kind of guy who will send you to a brain dump. You might try actually learning the material instead of cheating.
You can't register for the VCP4-DT unless you're a VCP.
VCA4-DT might not be a pre-requisite for VCP4-DT, but the VCP4 for vSphere remains a pre-requisite for VCP4-DT.
So you need to gain your VCP4 first before you can register for the VCP4-DT exam.
I have a number of key links to VCP4 resources on my blog: http://vmwaretraining.blogspot.com
Scott.
I can share my experience (and was on the official VCP4-DT exam).

All is covered by the official View documentations, but of course a good practice is required.
