Hi All,
I completed my VCP 5.1 course and exam in June 2013. On my transcript it says that certs now come with expiry dates but doesn't have an expiry date on it.
Do I need to do the course again to go over to 5.5 or can I just do the exam? Does the same applies for the date of expiry?
Regards
Arthur
You do not need to take the course again.
As long as you are a valid current vcp, you do not have to do anything else. Just take the 5.5 exam.

Hi Arthur,
Welcome to VMware Community.
There is no course requirement for re-certification. If the Certification expires, then you will have to take it up with course.
Thank you both for the answers, how about the validity of my current cert, how do I know when it expires or the date when it stops being valid?
My transcript doesn't have any expiry dates.
Last time I spoke to the vmware education guys they said that they have taken out the validity field for now and it'll reflect back. You'll know when it'll expire then. Or you Can write to education@vmware.com
