Taking VCP-DCV2020 exam before course Training

Hello Community,

i'm preparing for the VMware VCP-DCV2020 certification.

I have the "official cert guide" from Pearson and the "practice exam Simulator" for practise.

I plan to do the "VMware vSphere: Optimize and Scale [V7] – On Demand Course".

Is it possible to do the VCP Test before taking the course?

According to one of the VCP sessions at VMworld last year, you can take course and exam in any order however as I fully expect that you are aware, you don’t gain your certification until you have completed all of the required steps. 

Also note that by getting the certification this year, it will be a VCP-DCV 2021 (and not 2020 as you mentioned).
