I have passed the 2V0-72.22 exam.
Must I buy training by VMWare as well or this is enough to get certification?

My colleague got certified on May 18, 2022. He only took the exam without training. Then training was not needed?

Did your colleague already hold a VCP? The only logic path that doesn't require training is because a different prerequisite (another cert) was applied.

Actually He didn't have any VCP Certifications before.

As your screenshot shows, it requires a training and an exam.

Right But he didn't take any training. He just passed exam.
That is my consern. That is why I took exam as well. I didn't know that I need training as well.

There was a previous option for that certification to only require to pass a now-retired exam, therefore the only path available now to someone who doesn’t already hold a VCP is to complete training as well as passing the exam.

Your colleague did not take 2V0-72.22 Your colleague took EDU-1202. That exam is no longer available and is legacy from the Pivotal acquisition. If you want to get certified, take training.

The order in which you complete the requirements is not important, it can be training then exam or exam then training.
