Passed my VCP5!

But only just passed!

When I took the VCP 4 exam, I remember getting all the questions done within an hour, and feeling quite comfortable with the content.  That was an easy pass for me.

VCP5 was alot more challenging than I was anticipating!  I had many questions on components of the vsphere suite that I didn't really focus on in either study reading or in my lab (or at work for that matter).  These were things such as FC SAN, Host Auto Deploy, the vSphere appliance and more.  A few questions on dV Switches and Storage in general threw me off a bit so if I could go back in time I would spend more lab time with these too...

Big thanks to the regular posters in the communities here for providing links to good reference materials!

I've put together a list of links to sites I found helpful in my studies:

My tip to anyone who reads this is  get lots of practice with the  actual kit. there are lots of new  sub-meus and option especially in the  HA and DRS settings in 5.0.

Unfortunately  I only have 1 ESXi host  to play with a bit limited to what I can do.  But get as much experience  from a lab as that is how i remember stuff.

Read all the pdf docs surround vsphere 5 http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vsphere-esxi-vcenter-server-pubs.html

Do not spend too much time learning the maximum configs, I did not get any questions regarding those.

The following pratice tests helped me remember certain new feature in 5.0. Although none of these question are in the exam
