Looking for insight on taking the VCP exam

Hello all:

I am new to VMWare (using it for 4 months) and I will be taking the VMWare install and configure class in August.

I would like to get a jump on this now so I thought I would ask if there are any books or resources I could study now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Definitely get a copy of the exam blueprint now from http://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=12457&ui=www_cert and start reading over it and reviewing areas that you know you need extra time with. You could also get a copy of VMware Workstation and build out a lab for testing. If you can go into class with a few months of having already studied the exam blueprint, then you can use that as a great opportunity to ask/review. Your lab resources will likely be better there too. Good Luck!

As you have already planned for training you could start get some hands on by building a test lab, So that when you attend the class it will help you the clarify the doubts you may have..

There are some free online videos available here(VMware Learning) which you also review.

The course help. But I suggest to start studying and also build a small lab to make some practice.
