I passed. How come ?

Hello,

Just passed the VCP410 yesterday. Man I found it was hard !  And it  was not just about knowing stuff on top of your head. I was still reviewing some questions while 30 seconds were remaining (and I’m French native, so I had 30 minutes more….)

I found out this was a real challenging ordeal (though I have some good hands-on experience managing a big vmware infrastructure for over 2 years now) which I think is nice as it sheds quality over the certification.

It has already been said here: reading all the good information in this forum, reading the official documentation (I actually kinda flew over it) is absolutely necessary to pass the exam.

But as many people I guess, being pretty busy at work, I did not have much time for reading all the above in details, nor did I own my personal lab at home

I needed something that could provide me the “essence” of the technical knowledge required for the exam. And I found it in the following:

- vReference cards & notes : http://www.vreference.com

- Simon Log’s study notes and exams: http://www.simonlong.co.uk/blog/vcp-vsphere-upgrade-study-notes

- Scott Vessey ’s blog : http://vmwaretraining.blogspot.com

- Matthijs van den Berg's study notes : http://www.b3rg.nl/vcp-4.0/introduction/vmware-certified-professional-on-vsphere-4-learning-guide.ht...

- Scott Lowe’s  “Managing Vmware vSPhere 4”

I know these aren’t official Vmware stuff, but I definitely recommend using them.

I must say THANK YOU to the above guys, they really made my VCP life easier Smiley Happy

Alex

the good thing about vcap is that it's just the exam and there is no class that needs to be attended.
