Hi All,

I am planning to apper for the VCP5.0 exam. I have two questions regardign the same.

1) Is there a second free/disccount attempt for the VCP 5.0 Exam if one got failed in the first attempt.

2) What would be the duration after which we cant give exam after doing the classromm trainning(VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage [V5.0]) . I mean till what duration the Classroom trainning is valid.

AFAIK there is no second free attempt provided by VMware .. Doing a search came across this check

Bear in mind that the exam is a 5.x exam, it is not specific to either 5.0 or 5.1 - refer to the exam blueprint for the objectives you will be tested on.

SO after attending the course there is no time frame before which i have to give the exam. coz the trainner had told that the classroom will be vaild till 6 months & after 6 months i need to attend the trainning course again if i have to give the exam. How much is that true?

I have not heard of anything like this so far...

FAQ section says below

Do I have to take the VCP5-DV exam within a certain time period after taking the qualifying course?

No. There is no set time frame for taking the exam after attending the class.

Did you receive an exam voucher? They have expiry dates on them, but they are merely a payment mechanism for the exam rather than defining some sort of validity period for the training qualifying you for the certification - if you had a voucher and it expired you could just pay for the exam with a credit card.
