I am a VCP4-DCV Certified wanted to upgrade the certification to 5.x.

Hi,

I am VCP4-DCV Certified. I wanted to upgrade the certification to 5.x.

Do I need to take 5 day training on Install, Configure, Manage of vSphere5.1 or can I directly take 2day training on "What's new in vSphere5.1" for upgrading the certifcation to 5.1.

can you please help me?

Also I want to take VCP-Cloud exam. Can anyone help me on what exam and training do I need to take?

Thanks,

S.Mani

To upgrade you certification follow the certification path as below;

VCP4-DCV > vSphere Whats new 5.1 > pass the exam VCP-DCV

There are two paths to earning your VCP-Cloud certification.

Path 1

  1. Be a VMware Certified Professional 5 – Data Center Virtualization (VCP5-DCV)
  2. Pass the IaaS Exam

Path 2

  1. Attend a qualifying course
  2. Pass the VCP-Cloud Exam

you can take What's new in vSphere5.x and sit for the exam.

you have to take VCP-IaaS and become VCP-Cloud. No training requirements if you are VCP certified.
