How to check a guy is VCP ?

A guy says he is VCP 4 and provide me an number.

Is there a way to verify it ?

I dont know, may you can send a email to certification@vmware.com to validate VCPID.

Dont have any site to validate directly

for VCP, we've to send email to certification@vmware.com . one of the comments in the following thread mentioned, we can verify it from vue site. It didnt work for me. You can give a try.

you can try using other method.

when a guy do vcp and pass, the pearson receive a examination score report with REGISTRATION and VALIDATION. With this datas you can validate if a grade was PASS

Here is my two cents

If possible, have the person log into the VCP portal and you can view his transcripts and credentials right there. I have personally been on consulting jobs and have offered to do this to verify my certification when asked. Unfortunately anyone can buy a paper certificate online but they wont have a VCP login with VMware.  I personally run into some engineers who claim they are VCPs but they really are not.
