Failed Exam Today

THE EXAM WAS REALLY HARD. GOT A SCORCE OF 221

THE TRAINING AND VM BOOKS DON,T COVER SOME OF THE QUESTIONS ASKED IN EXAM.

THE HOLE POINT OF GOING ON THE COURSE IS TO PASS THE EXAM.

THE EXAM CRAM BOOK WAS USELESS. WASTE OF MY TIME!!!!!!

TO VM SORT YOUR TRAINING OUT AND YOUR BOOKS INLINE TO PASS THE EXAM.

I think that is a little unfair, on the first day of the course the VCI said to us that the course alone will not get you through the exam and a lot more reading would be required to get upto test standard, the point of the course is to guide you through installing, configuring and managing a vSphere enviornment and the exam does cover a lot more than that.

You really have to have a deep level knowledge of everything in the blueprint, I found the exam cram a good refresher once I had learnt what was needed but again this was not designed to get you through the exam on it's own.

Try not to be angry about failing it, take the experience and use it to prepare more on the bits where you lacked on this exam so you can pass it next time.

Thanks mate

I think the course should be deep level then. Especially when it costs like a million.

now i will have to read all the tech paper on vm web site and read the blue print.

i think they should go throught the tech papers in the course . lol

I did suggest on the other threads you've posted on recently that the exam blueprint was vital, to study from the official documentation rather than the training manuals, and that the exam cram book contained errors. Hopefully you booked the exam using the free re-take code so that at least your next attempt won't be charged. I would never advise that the training course covers all the topics/objectives in the exam - the blueprint is proof of that. During the course I advise my students about the exam, but train them on the product.  Best of luck for your next attempt. Scott

Sorry for that.

But know you have an overview of the type of question and you can improve your knowledge on the "blind" parts.

I think that there is still a second changes opportunity for the exam... check on VMware site to see if is still valid and how to get it.
