Hi,

About 9 months ago I passed VCP4 exam but I didn't completed training required to get certificate (I didn't have enough money).

When this exam will expire?

Welcome to the community.

As written you need to find a class (see VCP4 page for a list of official courses) for vSphere 4. And faster because most classes are now on vSphere 5.

The exam itself does not expire, but without a class you cannot do much.

You cannot sit the VCP4 exam unless you have done the course, is this what you meant; that you have done the course but didn't sit the exam yet?

I don't know when the VCP4 exam will be removed, but in order to get VCP5 without having to do an upgrade course the VCP5 must be sat for by the end of February 2012 I think. So if you want to avoid extra expense then sit the VCP4 ASAP and then sit the VCP5 straight afterwards.

Regards,

Paul

Welcome to the Community - I believe you have to the end of the year to attend a class to become a VCP 4. I believe this can be the vSphere 5 ICM class. (I am sure I will be corrected if this not the case). Once you become a VCP 4 you will have until February 29, 2012 to sit for the VCP 5 exam without having to sit for another class unless of course if you take the vSphere 5 ICM class you would be able to take the VCP 5 class at any time-

Remember the final can be  otained by an email to certification@vmware.com.

You MUST attend vSphere 4 training in order to complete the requirements for VCP4, and you need to look to do it quickly - training providers are already running fewer vSphere 4 courses and they will "dry up" in the coming weeks. Note that a vSphere 5 course will not qualify you for VCP4. If you don't take a vSphere 4 course, your only option will be to meet the requirements for VCP5 and you having passed the VCP4 exam will not count at all towards you achieving VCP5.

I stand corrected - you will need to find a vSphere 4 class -
