Exam before class?

This has probably been asked a million times but can you take and pass the exam without the pre-requisite class?  I understand you would not be officially certified.

Reason I can't afford a 3k class right now but could afford to take and pass the exam.

I've only taken V3 install config so I'm not eligible for VCP 5.

yes, you can take the exam first then the required class

Yes, technically you can pass the exam first, but you cannot call yourself a VCP or be awarded the certification til you meet all the requirements.

Yes you can take the exam before the class,because with some technical knowledge you can clear it only if you have clear idea of the technology
