ESCALATION NEEDED - VCP DCV certificate not received

Hello all,

So, I have passed my VMware VCP exam but have not gotten the certification yet.

I opened a ticket in VMware certification and they advised that I need to contact my organization where I completed the course and inform them to link my course to mylearn account in VMware, as they have no access for the same. This is because I used my personal email for the exam unlike in the course site of my organization (using my work email ID)

I attached my course certificate and exam passing score report for their reference and all necessary proof of both the course and exam completion  so I was not exactly sure why they were requesting this but anyways, I have done what they asked.

Upon contacting my organization, they have confirmed that there is no way to link two platforms and all is already proven so they are also not sure what else is there to validate !

I have sent an email back to the certification team but still no response. I passed the exam since 10/03/2022 and I am still struggling with this problem...

Can someone tell me what is the next point of escalation to get this solved ??

I really appreciate your help on this

Have you asked the Certification team to merge your accounts?

Who did you complete the course with?

What was the title of the course? (eg. vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage [v7])

What was the code of the exam which you passed? (eg. 2V0-21.20)

Hello,

Thanks for the swift reply ! Really appreciate it.

When I opened my ticket, I was already requesting to link the accounts.

I completed the course with a VMware tutor Andy Archer with the coordination of my organization's Education Services

CourseVMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage [V7]

Course Code: HM9P6X

Exam: VMware - 2V0-21.20 Professional VMware vSphere 7.x.

Thanks for your speed

I know Andy, I haven’t seen him for a long time but our paths used to cross regularly when I was an instructor myself,

Was the course with HPE? I’ve never heard of that code before.

It seems to me that the course and exam are correct for the VCP.

Have you asked Andy if he can help in terms of your myLearn course registration?

Correct ! The course was with HPE

Although I did not ask Andy about any of this, but maybe I should now that you mentioned it !

Will check and see if anything can be done from his side.

Thanks for the tip !

Hello,

It appears that nothing can be done from Andy as well but he have confirmed that from the myLearn system, he sees that the courses are complete and visible.

He advised to maybe change the email of the myLearn account (used for the course) from my work email to the personal one as it's eventually my course.

I forwarded the same to the certification team and looped myLearn team also but still with the same lack of response.

This is really confusing and outrageous....

Who should I loop also to get this sorted out ? Credly ? I think i'll do that at this rate... (sigh)

This has nothing to do with Credly.

The only other thing I can do is tag @KarlChilds and @lbourque to see if they can help.

Your VMware Learning account  is not organizationally tied. You should be able to change the email of that to your personal email. You should be able to do this by going into https://mylearn.vmware.com, go to MyProfile and select Update MyProfile. If that does not work, send an email to me directly (lbourque@vmware.com) and let's see what we can do.
