Design Workshop preparation

Hi all,

I am going to attend the vSphere Design Workshop training at PEX 2013.  Is there any preparation that I could do to help me ?

To date, I have read Forbes Guthries vSphere Design book. I have also started to listen to vBrownbag VCAP-DCD series and collected many links to prepare for VCAP-DCD.

My goal is to write the test for VCAP-DCD in late spring..

Thanks you!

Bartmoss,

The few things I would say that might help are the Trainsignal VMware Design video, VMware vSphere 5.1 Clustering Deepdive is a great read as well as the VCP5 VMware Certified Professional on vSphere 5 study guide. If you can get your hands on autolabs and play around with that as well, you will be very well off.

Hope this helps.

If you felt my comment was helpful or solved your problem, please return the favor of marking my answer as solved. Thanks! | http://www.vTagion.com

Thanks, I am sure Trainsignal Design Video are great, but at 400$ it is over my training budget after the expense for the Design Workshop..

Perhaps, but I would pay from my pocket.

Clustering and VCP guide are great too. I have read them both.

Never tried Autolab.

I would have liked to opinion of a VMware Trainer on the preparation for the Design workshop ?

If you already know some design aspect of vSphere you do not need more. Course is quite good.
