VCDX-Cloud Design Example

Jump to solution

Does anyone have an example of a VCDX-Cloud design?  It would be helpful to have a starting point to see what someone has done, an  un-official one or a skeleton / blueprint for building one.  Thanks!

Once you have got it created then send out a tweet asking if anyone would be willing to review your VCDX design. I would choose people wisely though (normally you can tell by their twitter profile/blog link if they have one) as you don't want people who may give poor feedback or just want your design for themselves.

I'm not saying you can't do it but if you have never created a cloud design for a customer then you may struggle to build a design strong enough but read the blueprint and the vCAT and this should give you an idea of the level.

As said earlier there arent designs out there for people to see as the ones that are most likely at the level for submission are real world projects and people dont want someone just copying their design due to the work they put in building it.

OK that looks like a great start. Anything else out there?

The blueprint is fairly prescriptive on the areas that are required.   The referenced case study above is a good start, but does not provide detail in all areas that the blueprint requires.

I'd start by mapping out the design concept you are thinking of, and the requirements, and begin to form a design document that way.  Once you have a good start, folks on twitter are usually happy to review and provide feedback.

IMO, you won't find a prescriptive example of a VCDX design out there.  Start by writing something and check it against the blueprint.
