passed vcap-dcd today

Hi all,

I passed VCAP-DCD today! It was pretty tough, I'll be blogging about my experience and posting some of my study materials soon, when I get the time I'll post the link here.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your welcome kit / DCD number? Wondering what my # will be, hoping it is below 400.

Will

Well done. I'm sitting mine in two weeks, hopefully I am ready.

Being the first person to congratulate you deserves full points no? 😉

About the welcome kit it can take several weeks (in my case some months).

The ID is usually send by email some weeks laters.

For those wondering or keeping track of the # of VCAP-DCD's... I passed my exam on 8/25 and was notified today (9/16) that my VCAP-DCD # is 386.

Wow they're almost exactly in sync, got my DCA # today, 384.  I'm wondering how the VCDX program is going to scale, I think they're going to be surprised by how many designs they receive in November.

It's been 35 days so far and no transcript update or welcome pack. No response from certification team either.

Was that version 4 or 5?  I'm still curious about those weird numbers that shot up in the 2000's for the VCAP5-DCD.

Is the latest DCD exam 4 or 5?  I have several students asking in the vS5 Design class I am teaching this week.  Also, does anyone know the latest Blueprint Rev for the DCD?  Thanks in Advance.

Worrying you're teaching vSphere 5 design and don't know that the v5 exam has been out for easily six months Smiley Happy . Tell your students to keep checking up on the blueprint and register their interest in the exam now so that they cna get their authorisation to sit it ASAP

Gregg - Worrying ... lol ... I would agree when I read my post with no background given.  Smiley Wink

Yes this is my first Design 5 class but I am a VCAP, Vmworld 2011 Speaker, current partner company owner and former VMware Senior Consultant.  I saw your post, then read I wrote and yes I would be a little worried about a clueless person teaching a class ... They gave me great eval scores today and I shared the blueprint link so its all good.
